September will be a very interesting time for the Friends of Layton Cemetery who are going to a part of a bigger Heritage Event, whereby many interesting sites within the Borough will be open to the general public with guided tours.
Not wishing to be left out of this fantastic event the Friends of Layton Cemetery plan to join in by doing guided tours of the resting places of several of Blackpool's more famous residents ..... such as a famous cricketer's grave, a memorial to the founder of the Blackpool Gazette and Herald and even a "Buffalo Soldier".
To find out more about how you can be a part of this please feel free to contact the Friends office based at the Cemetery, or just turn up on the day, to hear the great stories and tales..
